On behalf of our Client — an international manufacturer of solutions for the automotive sector in the Opolskie region — we are looking for a Project Engineer.
Scope of responsibilities:
- End-to-end management of development and industrialisation projects for the European market.
- Planning, coordinating and supervising the work of cross-functional teams.
- Managing the full project cycle, from the concept phase to the start of series production, in terms of schedule, budget, objectives and key deliverables.
- Coordinating operational cooperation between the key departments within the organisation (Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Testing) and external suppliers.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs (including the BOM structure) and actively supporting cost optimisation.
- Coordinating design, prototype building, testing and validation processes.
- Holding regular project status reviews, identifying technical risks and solving problems efficiently.
- Ensuring that projects fully comply with technical and regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Actively supporting the continuous improvement of internal engineering processes.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in managing engineering projects or product development processes; preferred industries: automotive, machinery, advanced manufacturing or related.
- Highly developed technical skills, with a thorough understanding of the production environment, the structure of the design process and technical documentation.
- Very good, fluent English (essential): it is the working language in day-to-day contact with the foreign head office and global suppliers.
- Excellent management skills: managing time (timing), budget, costs and risk, and coordinating the work of project teams without formal authority.
- Strong interpersonal skills: communication, the ability to build relationships and to influence others in a dynamic working environment.
- Resilience in the face of rapid change and the ability to work effectively and make decisions with incomplete information.
- A strong focus on quality, customer orientation and well-developed analytical skills.
