For our Client, international manufacturing company we are looking candidate for position Research and Development Manager position. The offer was made by an international company, located in close neighbourhood of Wrocław active in the range of medical devices.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Lead in parallel several projects in cooperation with international R&D team.
- Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
- Understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products.
- Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
- Support Director to hire and develop local R&D personnel.
- Establish project goals and priorities by collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Operations.
- Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
- Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals.
- Document all phases of research and development.
- Establish and maintain testing procedures for assessing raw materials, in-process and finished products.
- Oversee complex research projects, analyse results and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Assess the scope of research projects and ensure they are on time and within budget.
- Follow closely evolution of materials, participating in scientific and industrial conferences.
Requirements:
- A master’s degree in manufacturing engineering, system engineering or similar.
- Proven experience in a relevant role.
- Overall industry experience.
- Experience as a manager, preferably in R&D management.
- A strong sense of creativity aids in the process of thinking of new product ideas and solving problems creatively.
- Proven ability to act at both the strategic and operational levels.
- Great problem solving skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate perfectly with colleagues, team members and lower-level staff.
- The ability to work in the international environment.
- Excellent people management skills to lead team of engineers and work with international partners.
- Very good at managing time and fulfil deadlines.
- Good business sense.
- Fluently English and Polish
